We use pine for the entire interior of our saunas, a choice rooted in Finnish tradition. Pine is renowned for its natural ability to withstand high temperatures and humidity, making it ideal for sauna environments. Its light, soothing aroma enhances the relaxation experience, while its thermal properties ensure a comfortable and consistent heat. The Finnish have long favored pine for its durability and calming qualities, and we continue this tradition to provide you with a truly authentic and enjoyable sauna experience.
Our saunas are designed to withstand the elements, making them perfect for outdoor use. We use durable Colorbond for the roofing, ensuring long-lasting protection against all weather conditions. The exterior is finished with high-quality paint to provide an additional layer of defense, so your sauna remains both functional and visually appealing, no matter the environment.
We’ve designed our Saunas with 90mm wall cavities to provide the best possible insulation, ensuring that precious heat stays inside where it belongs. This thoughtful design choice allows for faster heat-up times and superior heat retention, so you can enjoy a consistent and efficient sauna experience. Additionally, we've incorporated essential air circulation features to keep the air inside the sauna properly recycled and moving, enhancing both comfort and safety. This combination of optimal insulation and ventilation ensures that every session in our sauna is both effective and enjoyable.
Designed with Correct Bench Heights
At Sisu Sauna, we prioritize the correct bench heights in our sauna designs, a vital aspect that is often overlooked in many saunas on the market. In a true Finnish sauna, the bench must be positioned high enough so that the bather's feet are above the rocks of the heater, ensuring even heat distribution. This not only maximizes comfort but also enhances the overall sauna experience by maintaining the ideal temperature levels at different seating heights. Our saunas meet all Finnish sauna standards, from proper ventilation to optimal heat retention, ensuring a truly authentic and enjoyable experience.
We are equipping our saunas with either a wood or electric heater that can hold up to 60kg of sauna rocks, a feature that is essential for delivering an authentic sauna experience. These rocks are the heart of the sauna, retaining and radiating heat to keep the environment consistently warm. The substantial quantity of rocks not only ensures prolonged heat retention but also allows you to enjoy the traditional Finnish practice of Löyly—the act of pouring water over the hot rocks to generate a soothing steam. This steam intensifies the heat and adds humidity, enhancing the overall experience and bringing you closer to the rich traditions of Finnish sauna culture.

Delivery
As we are based near Ballarat Victoria we are only able to delivery and install our saunas within driving distance. This means most of Victoria and areas in SA and NSW.
Delivery fees will be added to cover costs for travel
We aim to install the sauna in one day.
